The Rebel Light

SUMMERY soundings all the way from Los Angeles with love have been fondly received courtesy of a bountiful trio going by the name, The Rebel Light. Born in 2013, this project has been heralded as Brian Wilson meets Jim Morrison, spiked with a hallucinogenic to stick our teeth into.

British listeners have truly gained a soft spot for The Rebel Light. I admit, before I had even set my ears upon their tracks I had suffered a huge reluctance to begin my musical quest, yet, as soon as I did, I proclaimed myself fool - as soon as that sound leaked through my speakers, it suddenly became clear as to why this special threesome had been gaining such high levels of prosperity.

Their latest track, 'Strangers' - dropped a trail of sheer excellence, providing a psychedelic mash up of alternative synths matched with harmonious vocals that groan throughout. Waking up as a sunkissed beauty, the graciously melodic instrumental pitter-patters around a heavenly vocalism, showing similarities to the likes of Temples - if they just so happened to mash up with Bombay Bicycle Club. Mind-boggling is the riveting warmth that exhumes from 'Strangers' pores, dishing out the Californian heat, the attraction is unbearable undeniably making this track all the more saleable.

One thing's for sure - this track will become an advertisers best friend, its addictive pedestal being the catalyst, tearing into the very fabric of genre ideologies. Get listening, you heard them hear first.
