Liverpool indie-pop royalty We Were Glue reveal track Birthday

HAPPY-go-lucky indie kings We Were Glue will release their latest track Birthday on Friday, May 12.

Following on from previous release My Girl, the track features the same tongue-and-cheek lyrics and jingle backing - boasting their indescribable charm.

Their innocent catchy riffs give listeners a little boost in their stride, starting the vocals after a sharp beat for a fantastic indie anthem.

Free and easy Birthday feasts on a classic light vocals offering a Two Door Cinema Club kind of vibe.

Total festival tune if there ever was one.

Talking about the track, lead singer Michael said: "The song is about when my girlfriend forgot my birthday and why it pissed me off.

"I wrote the lyrics the weekend after my birthday in December, and we put the music together in the studio in March.

"When it came down to tracking we still didn’t know what to write to tie the last two sections together, so ended up not bothering at all and just left it silent."

We Were Glue will release their new track at Studio 2, Parr Street, Liverpool on Friday May 12.

  2. This means that your guided meditation might be a little less unique than it would be if you had original music composed just for you, but it also means that the price of the music is dramatically reduced.
