Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul return to Liverpool this summer


AMERICAN jack-of-all-trades Steven Van Zandt will return to Liverpool with his band Little Steven this summer.

Best known for his acting career and being a founding member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street band, 67-year-old Steven has been touring on and off with Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul since the 1980s.

They will now be heading back to the O2 Academy on Saturday, June 30.

In November 2017 the band performed a 30-minute set of Beatles covers at The Cavern during a free lunchtime session for the venue's 60th anniversary, the same day they were scheduled to perform at the O2.

With six albums under his belt Steven is believed to be the man to keep Rock'n'Roll music alive, being an advocate for guitar music.

Co-producing Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band albums The River and Born in the USA, he has also produced material for the likes of Southside Johnny, Ronnie Spector, Jukes and Arc Angels.

Many may also be familiar with Steven from his role in hit TV drama Sopranos in which he co-starred as Silvio Dante, he also starred, co-wrote, executive produced, provided the music supervision and scoring for Netflix's first original programme Lilyhammer.

Captain of cool Steven also has his own Little Steven's Underground Garage which has been syndicated to more than 130 radio stations worldwide.

Currently, Steven is working on a box set release of all of his solo albums and has just released
'Soulfire' his first new album in more than 15 years.

It is 'Soulfire' which brings him on his tour of Europe this summer, going back to his rhythm and blues roots he will travel to Spain, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands.
