Review - Sundowners

They're a five-piece rock and roll band from Wirral, England, of whom consists of Niamh Rowe (Vocals and Rhythm guitar), Fiona Skelly (Vocals and Rhythm guitar),  Alfie Skelly (Lead Guitar), Jim Sharrock (Drums) and Tim Cunningham (Bass guitar). The bluesy/country/rock tones make the sundowners stand out from any other band around today, and you can definitely hear the great rock influences, those such as Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac.

After seeing them on Thursday night at Stanley Hall, Liverpool, I fell in love with their outstanding stage presence and their passion for music. For me, they were in a much higher musical league than main act Ren Harvieu, completely on top of their game and pushing into the music scene with great force.

They're releasing their debut single, Hummingbird, on 3rd December, if you haven't heard it, give it a listen here;

As i said, i genuinely feel a great vibe from this band, a general excitement surrounds them which makes this all the more fantastic. It shows how much talent is still out there even when we think we've seen it all.
