Spring King

HAILING from Manchester, Spring King are an infectious four-piece of "Punk Pop" heritage. Initially formed back in 2012, as a side project for producer, drummer and lead singer Tarek Musa: a graduate from LIPA.

2014 saw the band release their second EP "Demons" in March to undeniable critical success, with the likes of NME praising the monstrous sound. After touring the UK, this month see's the foursome travel to the US as a part of CMJ festival, joining the bill alongside artists such as The Wytches and Twin Peaks.

Unsurprisingly, it is the title track that stands out for The Music Manual, with crashing symbols, a catchy lyricism and ripping guitar solo that moulds the track into to an almighty atmospheric anthem. Musa's melodious voice is the cherry on top, crowning this track with the most boisterous capability. As an EP Demons is so captivating, there is a non-existent fear of overplaying as we fall head over heels for the muso's - becoming bored is most definitely not an issue.

Check out their latest music video that portrays different characters fighting their anxieties and insecurities, reflecting the songs lyrics "I wanna let go of the demons".

Spring King are a formidable force to be reckoned with, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more UK shows next year.
