John Joseph Brill

SNAPPED up by Killing Moon Records, Merseyside's own, John Joseph Brill provides us with debut EP, Pieces due for release on 23rd February.

Brill's journey ultimately began when he became the front-man for London based band, Burning Beard, placing him in the prime location to mix with some of the industry's finest young artisans.

It was then when the first indication of the Pieces EP became reality. This being shown within featured track, Muscle & Bone which was pounced upon audiences everywhere early last year.

Slowly creeping upon us like the Sun at dawn, Muscle & Bone holds a haunting echo, tainted by the wholesome vocality Brill gives effortlessly, rumbling the birds off their perches as a despairing passion seeps from chords and falls helplessly at our feet. Romanticised by the dark sensationalisation of love, the synthetic keys post a formality between creativity and the outer world. The barrier between the track and listener is lucid and experienced as a personal progression we all have faced at one time or another - it is with tracks such as this that audiences take comfort from.

To coincide with his debut release later on this month, Brill has announced a 6-date tour running from the end of February through to mid March, the last date acting like a homecoming on 11th at Leaf Tea Shop and Bar, for more information follow the links below.
