WITHIN its fifth year of operation, Merseyside's GIT Awards is set to showcase the very best of what local music has to offer, with the launch party on 9th January at The Buyers Club, there's the opportunity for many Merseyside based artists to get on board by sending their four-tracks to getintothis@gmail.com.
Free for all to attend, the launch is set to host some of this year's most exciting artists with the likes of Pink Kink, Nelson and The Night Cafe all stepping up to welcome the hopefuls.
After an exciting year around the city, Pink Kink are to throw a few psych-punk shaped moves whilst Nelson makes his Liverpool debut and brand new quartet, The Night Cafe are a sweet-sounding group of old school pop-rock, paying homage to Merseyside legends, The Coral.
Topping off the night, Liverpool music magazine, Bido Lito! shall be providing the all important DJ set to keep us dancing well into the evening.
With more special guests to be announced, this fifth year celebration is sure shaping up to be the biggest shindig of all, keep checking for our lowdown on the Awards ceremony in the coming months.
