Banksfest, Saturday 23rd July

LIVERPOOL'S District is set to play host to a very special mini-festival, Banksfest on Saturday 23rd July.

The event was created by Matthew Smith and Hayley Durkin to show support to their friend and avid gig-goer, Mike Bankier, who has been battling Leukaemia.

Full of music and surprises, the event is to start at7pm and will continue to entertain until the very early hours of the morning.

Boasting a line-up of 10 local artists including; AJHD, Jo Mary, Timo Tierney and The Fugates - Banksfest has definitely secured some of the city's hottest musicians to date.

Other artists not to be missed include The Shipbuilders - who received a fantastic response at this years West Kirby Live festival after spending a great deal of time recording at The Motor Museum, Psycho Comedy who shone at FestEVOL back in May and We Are Catchers who played a blinder back at The Buyers Club for Pretty Green Presents in association with Bido Lito!

Other notable performances will come in the form of  ex-La's guitarist, Barry Sutton and his collective, Beatnik Hurricane and new shoe-gaze lads on the block, FUSS.



With fantastic raffle prizes, DJs and food provided by ItalFresh, Banksfest has your Saturday covered all for a great cause, wristbands are £6 and will be available on the door.
