Walking the streets of Dublin as a young lad, Dave O'Grady, has inherited his Irish fable-telling from ancestors, incorporating this into material with his outfit, Seafoam Green.
After recording a number of sessions with Rich Robinson (The Black Crowes) in Nashville, O'Grady was offered the opportunity as Seafoam Green to support Robinson on his venture around the US tour circuit before collaborating on debut album, Topanga Mansion.
Available to pre-order now, Topanga Mansion uncovers the raw capability of country music, its poignant beauty is as if O'Grady is himself a native of Nashville.
With hints of psychedelia, and rumbling rock'n'roll, Seafoam Green is rejuvenating his adopted Liverpool home by bringing a refreshing sound the city is somewhat lacking.
Speaking about the release, O'Grady said: "I'm really happy to wait until the age of 28 to release my debut LP. I have toured, and I have learnt some valuable lessons.
"In this internet age, people are too often concerned with rushing around... Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
Jetting around the US and Europe with his band, Seafoam Green, O'Grady is set to announce a long-awaited set of UK tour dates this November including Liverpool show titled The Last Waltz at The Philharmonic Music Room.
