Howling Bells' Juanita Stein announces UK tour following release of single I'll Cry

Howling Bells’ front-woman Juanita Stein has revealed a full UK and Ireland tour to follow the release of her debut solo record America out on July 28 courtesy of Nude Records.

Already announcing a handful of festival dates including Tom Petty in Hyde Park and Cambridge Folk Festival Juanita Stein will begin the tour in her adopted hometown of Brighton and London.

In the run-up to the release, Aussie Juanita has released the newest single taken from her debut called 'I'll Cry' which was recorded in Los Angeles with the producer Gus Seyffert  who has worked with the likes of Beck and Ryan Adams.

Like a siren calling, Juanita's beautiful vocals are similar in places to that of Lana Del Rey who embraces the same ode to the past.

The country influences of the sixties are hard to deny while a modern indie twist is churned onto the softly curated instrumental.

Smooth and sultry.

Talking about the single Juanita said: "I'll Cry is a musical ode to the all-American greats I took my cues from as a budding songwriter.

"Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline and the work of Phil Spector, all of whom made a significant imprint on my heart, I’m forever  channeling that soulful sadness.

"I’ll Cry is a song that speaks of an impossible love, his resistance, her infatuation.

"Never a happy ending.”

Juanita will play Liverpool's Buyers Club on Saturday, September 30.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 30 and will be available following the links below.
