POGUES frontman Shane MacGowan has been revealed as just one of the acts returning for next year's Feis.
Returning on Saturday, July 6, Feis is guaranteed to showcase Liverpool's iconic heritage with Ireland.
Feis favourites The Dublin Legends (The Dubliners) will return to the event alongside The Fureys, Hudson Taylor, The Chieftains, Damien Dempsey and Mary Coughlan.
New for this year will be Irish punk legends The Undertones, Hermitage Green, Touts and The Frank & Walters.
Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for culture, tourism and events, Councillor Wendy Simon said: “We are delighted to welcome The Feis back to the city.
"Last year’s event was an incredible day of live music which highlighted the longstanding close relationship between Liverpool and Ireland.
"It is a great time for the city musically with a number of exciting announcements to be made over the coming months which will further cement our worldwide reputation as a UNESCO City of Music.”
The Feis celebrates Liverpool and its name as 'Dublin’s backyard' with its unique Irish heritage - more than 75% of Liverpool’s population being of Irish descent.
Organiser Vince Power added: "I’m delighted to announce the Liverpool Feis on the Pier on Saturday, July 6.
"We have a limited amount of early bird tickets available which, after last year, we expect to sell out very quickly.
"We once again have a great lineup, which will be announced very soon.
"As with last year, The Feis will be host to three stages featuring both contemporary and traditional Irish acts.
"I look forward to seeing you all again."
Early advance tickets are on sale from £60 via https://www.feis1.com/
Free entry for under 12's and under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
