Now in its 27th year, the annual celebration of music and culture of Africa will again present two free days of live music, DJs, dance, workshops, food stalls and traders.
Next month, a line-up of international stars will be revealed following a record number of applications from artists wanting to play at the event.
The Oyé Active Zone, DJ stages Trenchtown and Freetown are all confirmed to make their return, as well as the Oyé Introduces programme which sees local acts from the North West open the festival on both days.
Speaking ahead of the festival artistic director Paul Duhaney said: "We've spent the last six months doing everything we can to make sure that the event remains free for all in 2019.
"Rising infrastructure costs, plus the fact that our wonderful audience just keeps on growing, means that the task isn't getting any easier.
"But we'll make sure that the quality of the entertainment on the Oyé stage and the unique atmosphere of our festival will always remain."
The Africa Oyé festival will take place from 12.30pm until 9.30pm on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 and entrance is free.
