MANCHESTER legends Happy Mondays will return to Liverpool as part of their marathon 29 date greatest hits tour.

Heading to Liverpool's Mountford Hall on Friday, December 6, The Happy Mondays will bring a classic line-up of front man Shaun Ryder, Bez, Rowetta, Gary Whelan, Paul Ryder, Mark Day and Dan Broad.

Set to perform hits such as Step On, Kinky Afro, Hallelujah, W.F.L, Loose Fit, Judge Fudge and 24 Hour Party People, this tour is not to be missed.

Front-man Shaun said: "Be great to be back out on the road with Happy Mondays for some pre-Christmas partying!

"Looking forward to playing all the hits and more at these shows.”

The tour will begin on October 23 at The Ironworks in Inverness and will end on December 21 at Lincoln's Engine Shed.

Rowetta added: “I’m really looking forward to this tour, almost 30 years since I first got on stage with the Mondays.

"The band and the fans are like family to me and I still love singing these songs as much as I did in 1990.”

Happy Mondays shot to fame after signing to Tony Wilson's Factory Records and became pioneers of the Madchester sound.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, February 22 via https://www.alttickets.com/happy-mondays-tickets
