ORMSKIRK rising star TRACKY has dropped his debut funktastic single Boys in Black.
The North's answer to Jamie T, TRACKY aka Mike Poynton has been a regular name around the Liverpool gig-circuit for the last year and a half.
Having drawn a huge crowd at this year's Sound City festival, TRACKY has tapped into a sound being widely neglected after the rise in psych in the area.
Released on May 2, Boys in Black is a funky, 90s Britpop-boy-band, synth hit.
It's repetitive guitar chords will play over and over in your mind, taking over like some trippy dream you just can't wake up from.
Talking about the struggles of growing up in any working class northern town, TRACKY'S music is current, fresh and feisty.
Featuring on the likes of BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, you'll be hearing a lot more from this music maestro over the coming months.
