Next wave of artists revealed for surreal masquerade ball Krewe Liverpool

The Jubilee Stompers
THE next wave of artists have been revealed for a surreal masquerade ball with a carnival twist - Krewe Liverpool 2020 - The Mardi Gras Experience.

The brainchild of Mellowtone's Dave McTague and The Kazimier's Laura Brownhill, this music, dance and costume extravaganza will be heading to the beautiful setting that is Sefton Park's Palm House on Friday, February 7, 2020.

Local ragtime five-piece The Jubilee Stompers will bring their love and fascination of early jazz music to the masses.

Their journey began exploring the arrangements of Duke Ellington before expanding to classic early ensembles from the 1900s before dipping into the fascinating 20s and 30s.

Joining them will be long-term Mellowtone resident DJ Jonnie O'Hare who has promised to bring a cocktail of jass, soul, r'n'b and good ole blues.

Behind the scenes, Mersey Swing will be offering dance classes in the run up to the event and on the night, continuing their mission to share joy and excitement of swing dancing and vintage dance.

These names will join the likes of Frog & Henry who have the world's only foot operated Tuba Machine - allowing one person to play the tuba and banjo simultaneously.

Liverpool's homegrown master of ceremonies Laird Howard Ashley Storey will also be there to chair this marvelous display of all things quirky, perculiar and out of this world.

Tickets are £20 (plus booking fee) and are available via http://mellowtone.skiddletickets.com/event.php?id=13547156
