Palma Violets - A review

The most common way that I come across new bands is when I am watching great bands on youtube, this is the way I found out about these guys - Palma Violets.
Palma Violets consist of four lads from London, (Pete Mayhew, Sam Fryer, Will Doyle and Chilli Jesson,) and are a brilliant upcoming talent, although I admit it took me a while to get into their debut single; Best Of Friends.

I hear a Julian Casablanca's tone, a Faris Badwan attitude and a brilliant classic rock feel, which others have described as being that of a romantic rock. Don't be put off, as I've said, it's taken me a while to appreciate them as a group but I am certainly warming to the idea that the rock genre is in very safe hands.

If you haven't heard them, or want to hear them again, here is Best of Friends, which is available to download now on iTunes and will be released on 7"/CD 21st October 2012;

They have also released a tour to coincide with the release of their new single;

So if that's not enough to persuade you to listen to them try this;

Yeah, ok I'm really pushing the boat out for these guys but I promise if you give them just a few minutes of your time you will, in time love them to and remember me fondly as being the one that introduced you to them.. Ha. Anyway, I think they are a fantastic edition to the music scene and we all should listen with open arms and bow down to the future gods of rock and roll.
Hallelujah.
