The Jackobins

SET to release latest single, Waiting On The Sun on 30th June, Manual regulars, The Jackobins have been busy concocting a contemporary sound, running far away from their 'indie-rock' songbook.

Recently chosen to take part in Jake Bugg's 'Football Rocks' campaign, the band are rapidly gaining the attention of many industry personnel such as Paul Walsham (Hurts) and Kyle Falconer (The View).

And that's not all - to celebrate the release of their single, the five Liverpool lads will embark on a gargantuan 25-date Summer tour of the UK.

Designed by Andy Pink of fellow band, Caves, the single's artwork was inspired by April's Lunar Eclipse, fitting perfectly with the title.

Recorded with the incredibly talented Al Groves at The Motor Museum, Waiting on The Sun exploits an optimistic buoyancy, pulsating a range of jacked-up synthesisers and electrified guitars provided by John Whittingham and Veso Mihaylov. Front-man Dominic Bassnett's hushed vocals gain momentum throughout, with a lingering climax looming, we're pushed further towards the new dawn of The Jackobins.
