BABY STRANGE are a Glaswegian trio consisting of brothers Connaire and Aidan McCann and friend, Johnny Madden.
Striking up a bond at Beatroute in Glasgow when they were kids, only to then go and create the music we have today.
Their debut release was a demo of their track, “Get By Me” - recorded in Madden’s bedroom, receiving a lot of attention both on the net and off. Since then they have toured with a vast range of artists such as The Vaccines, Palma Violets and Swim Deep.
“California Sun”, their latest offering provides a range of thundering guitars and crashing symbols, softening for the verses, contrasting with Madden’s grainy vocals. With short chorus so sweet and memorable, the lyricism cleverly provokes a hard-hitting rawness all due to the more stripped back instrumental. Growing from conception to birth, it is obvious that this track has not just been conjured up in a matter of hours but rather a prolonged labour of love.
