The Gills

NASHVILLE based scuzz rock quartet are set to release latest single, Gimme Gimme on 11th March and their self-titled EP on 29th April after a successful Pledge Music campaign.

Becoming a SXSW official showcasing artist, The Gills have a busy year ahead after also co-headlining a tour with The Kickback, which sees them travel all over the US.

The album will mark seven years from their debut offering and takes inspiration from life experiences front-man Jesse Wheeler has faced, including his battle with leukaemia which showed Wheeler the determination to pursue a career in music.

Their latest single will reveal years of hard work and fine-tuning of truly wonderful new-wave tracks.

Gimme Gimme is a brit-pop infused brew of careless harmonies and heavy guitar riffs. Revelling beats from Matt Prince twist and turn amongst a cleverly concocted set of lyrics, roaring under Wheeler's command.

The tasty bassline from Andy Prince rolls in adoration of Justin Locke's chords that rumble in a bath of euphoria. Gimme Gimme has all the makings of a 90s grunge pop instrumentals.
