Huddersfield born songwriter, Louise Quasie-Woode has spent her recent years making Liverpool her home, releasing debut track Broken off the back of studying music at the University of Liverpool.

Becoming an integral part of the city's acoustic scene, Louise has always taken great interest within her songwriting, she said: "Writing songs has always been therapeutic and if I can collect my thoughts and put them into a song it helps me understand myself and situations better and ‘Broken’ was one of the first to completely do that."

Absolutely spine-chilling Louise brings a raw emotion into Broken, using keys and the natural power she possesses within her vocals to convey her enchanting lyricism.

Complimenting harmonies feed off the harrowing beauty in Louise's voice, providing a moving comfort for all who seek solace within her work, she said: "I wrote ‘Broken’ a few years ago and It was one of the first songs I felt said everything I wanted to express at the time."

Although this single is truly prestigious for a debut, Louise remains very grounded: "The response has been so lovely, it’s been wonderful to see such a positive reactions and I’m very grateful to everyone who has listened to it."
