Strange Collective announce an all-dayer EP launch for debut single, Super Touchy

LIVERPOOL's latest success story, Strange Collective have announced a day full of mayhem to christen their EP launch on 2nd July.

Celebrating the release of their EP Super Touchy on 1st July, courtesy of Salvation Records, the Invisible Wind Factory will play host to two stages full of live music, food stalls and DJs, the event has already been rumoured to be the show of the summer.

The event, consisting of 12 bands, includes new boys on the block, FUSS, War Room Records' Rongorongo and the crazy-cats, Psycho Comedy who were praised for their intense performance at this years FestEVOL.

Strange Collective front-man, Alex Wynne said: “This big silly launch gig we are stupidly attempting to put on is gonna be great – we’ve somehow managed to get together some of the best bands from Liverpool, so it should be a lovely sweaty, gay ol’ time!

Talking about the track, Alex said: "It’s a happy little ditty you can jive to - it's a pretty cool tune, go have a listen.”

Super Touchy is a soft garage tune hinting at punk pop vibrations, surely taking rough influences from The Beach Boys and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

With a tasty range of oohs glazing over a dirty set of light surf chords, backing vocals set this track up to become a local cult favourite.

Supporting Spring King and sharing the stage with the likes of the Black Lips and Ghost of the Sabre Tooth Tiger, Strange Collective are spreading their sound over many stages, recently being announced to play a garage showcase set up by Roadkill Records at the Lock Tavern, London.

Their explosive on-stage performances are certainly not to be missed, having a stage presence that see many other artists go green with envy.

The launch is already set to be a sell out with tickets priced at £4, buy yours here.
