The Coral to headline Skeleton Coast 2018 at Leasowe Castle

The Coral will headline this year's Skeleton Coast
THOSE crazy cats from Skeleton Key are back at it again as a gargantuan all-dayer heads to Leasowe Castle.

Skeleton Coast is back for a third year on Saturday, September 1 and will be headlined by no other than The Coral themselves.

This year the event will head to new surroundings, moving away from previous venue Hoylake Community Centre and taking over the historic Leasowe Castle.

Joining The Coral, who will be launching their eighth album at the event, will be Tim Burgess & The Anytime Minutes.

Also confirmed for this stage; The Mysterines, Cut Glass Kings, Fuzzy Sun and Peach Fuzz.

A second stage, based at the chapel will host the likes of The Fernweh, Marvin Powell, The Rituals, Niamh Rowe and Solis all performing.

One thing for sure is that the new venue will add an extra quirkiness to the event.

Originally built in 1593, Leasowe Castle first consisted of just one octagonal tower but by 1700 this became disused and was known as 'Mockbeggar Hall'.

In 1891 the building became Leasowe Castle Hotel and several years later became derelict once more until 1982 when it was restored by a local business man.

You better be quick at snapping up tickets as organisers have issued a ticket warning - with just under 100 up for grabs.
