WIRRAL riddler Miles Kane will return to headline this year's Skeleton Coast festival.

Back for another year, Skeleton Coast will once again take place at the historic Leasowe Castle on Saturday, August 23.

Miles' homecoming was revealed in the first-wave announcement for the event on Thursday, March 7.

The 32-year-old will headline the event off the back of recent success with record Coup De Grace - his first solo album in five years.

In 2016, Miles saw more success with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner as the duo The Last Shadow Puppets, securing his second number one record.

He will also curate some of this year's line-up, bringing some of the hottest local talent to the forefront of the event from the likes of Dream Wife, Peach Fuzz, The Fernweh, The Mysterines and The Snuts all set to perform.

Spread across two stages hosted by promoters EVOL and Liverpool music website Getintothis, Skeleton Coast promises to showcase the freshest new talent the industry has to offer.

A DJ set will be provided by Shit Indie Disco and a new art exhibition will also take place.

Tickets are £30 and are available from www.skiddle.com
