Soulful songstress Tori Cross to release new single 'Woman'

ADOPTED scouser Tori Cross is set to release her brand new single 'Woman' on March 29.

Originally from Birmingham, songstress Tori made her pilgrimage up to Liverpool to study music at University in 2013.

During this time Tori spread her soulful wings across the Liverpool live music circuit, performing countless open mic nights and backing local favourites such as XamVolo and Galactic Funk Militia.

Her debut EP Looking Up, released in October, has already been picked up by Spotify, who featured tracks in its 'Fresh Pop' playlist.

Already receiving airplay on the likes of BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 2, Woman is set to land soon.

This is apt timing as Tori took inspiration from her mum for the track and it really will speak to women across the world.

A gospel tinged track, this modern pop anthem is a futuristic take on a timeless sound.

Strong in body and lyrics, Woman aims to inspire and embrace the stereotypical vulnerability which is constantly tied with our gender.

Tori's powerful, profound vocals carry the track, similar to that of Lianne La Havas, this sophisticated track tightens Tori's grip on the underground urban soul scene.

There's no shortage of fresh material from Tori either, while you await the release of Woman, watch the video that dropped last week for single Calling You Out:
