SIX official Africa Oyé parties have been revealed ahead of this weekend's extravaganza.
Returning for its 27th anniversary on 22 and 23 June to Sefton Park, the festival is gearing up to create another bring the very best music and culture from Africa along with DJ sets and multi-arts workshops.
To get the Oyé celebrations started, two official pre-parties will be taking place on Friday, June 21, they are:

bido100! Presents Inside Pages celebrating 100 editions of Bido Lito! Magazine. Featuring sets from Xam Volo and MC Nelson (both alumni of Africa Oyé Introduces) alongside Clinic, Stealing Sheep (DJ), The Mysterines, Eyesore & The Jinx plus many other artists.
A percentage of proceeds from these parties will also go towards supporting next year's festival, helping to keep it free and open to all, so look out for the official collection buckets.
As well as the international offering of live music on the main stage, festival-goers will also be able to eat and drink their way around the world with a range of food stalls and traders' wares on offer in the Oyé Village.

Africa Oyé festival will take place from 12.30pm until 9.30pm on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 and entrance is free.
