Go Fiasco

CHRISTMAS is just around the corner and here at The Music Manual we're celebrating it with a bang! Along with our usual updates we shall be providing you with a band-by-band guide to Christmas, informing you of what they have achieved so far, what to watch out for and most importantly, what their ultimate Christmas track is and why.

First up, we have the wonderful, Go Fiasco who have made such a big impact within the Liverpool gig circuit this year, and, even played 'The Music Manual Presents...' back in June, time flies when you're having fun - quite literally!

Any Go Fiasco gossip?

Word on the street is lead guitarist, Jamie Roberts has had some botox done and bassist, Ben Murphy has had some Minaj-worthy bum implants, but, on a serious note the four lads have been extremely busy in the studio, reworking our favourite tracks to make way for their new EP, which was supposedly out for release back in the summer.

Let's look back at what the years been like for Go Fiasco so far...

January saw Go Fiasco play alongside Manchester based, Folks at Liverpool's Shipping Forecast on 31st January. Then, sure enough, February saw the quartet promise to use their twitter account more often, @gofiasco, and, thankfully the guys stuck to this promise and their twitter feed is full of Fiasconess! As for March and April there was a rather silent hush from the quartet as they focused on more recording. Coming to May we see Jamie Roberts featuring in a photo collective for Sound City on the Italian Rolling Stones website (check it out here) and there was two new tracks making an appearance on the band's soundcloud. JUNE, oh June, The Music Manual Presents..." Go Fiasco showing the world how to end a set" - Mangoneblog.com, quoted after a surge of fans piled on stage and created a load of brilliant havoc, one of the best scenes i've seen ever at a gig. Also, June saw the lads visit The Motor Museum Studios. Say hello to July and Go Fiasco have had an interview with The Music Manual... Soon enough, August appears and they release new track 'Penny
Drops' on soundcloud, we also see them make an appearance at MelloMello for Liverpool International Music Festival and have a fantastic acoustic(ish) set filmed for the wonderful Culture City Television. September see's the lads play their first ever show in Wirral, at Hoylake's Coda Maine and they announce the recording of a whopping 10 tracks. OCTOBER, Alan McGees 359 night at District, and they have a fantastic interview with music blog, AMBY. November brings a major support slot for The Tea Street Band at the Zanzibar, then, we come to December, and my, my how much Go Fiasco have come along. Of course, this is just a sample of what they have achieved in such a short space of time,  but they haven't just been lying back, these lads have worked constantly all year, their new recordings will play testament to this.

Take a look at some footage from the year of Go Fiasco...

What's your favourite Christmas track?

Vocalist, Dan Duggan with his favourite Christmas Track, Summerjam from The Underdog Project (he can't hack anything else!)

Lead guitarist and bassist, Jamie Roberts & Ben Murphy with Fairytale of New York from The Pogues.

Although, Ben would also choose Walking in The Air (from the Snowman)

Finally, Go Fiasco drummer, Liam Gardner and his choice of Ho Ho Fucking Ho from Kevin Wilson.

Go Fiasco's year has been a brilliant one. Ask yourself, if 2013 can do this for the four lads from Merseyside, then what can 2014 bring?
