The Last Waltz returns to Liverpool Philharmonic Hall this December

BACK due to popular demand, a second date has been added to Seafoam Green's Last Waltz this December at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

After making its debut in the city last year, promoters Mellowtone have unveiled a two-date spectacle from 1 to 2 December.

The show is a nod to The Band's iconic last-ever show on November 25, 1976 at the Hinterland Ballroom, San Fransisco which featured the likes of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison and Eric Clapton.

Film director Martin Scorsese filmed the event and made it into a documentary which was released two years later and has been hailed as one of the greatest concert films ever produced.

More than 40 years later The Last Waltz brought together Liverpool's finest musicians who came together to celebrate its influence and impact.

Due to this night being a big success, the gang will be doing it all again just in time for Christmas.

Tickets are on sale now from the Box Office on 0151 709 3789 or online http://www.liverpoolphil.com/whats-on/the-last-waltz-2017
